Diesel Heating Technology

TOYOTOMI ElectrocombustionTM technology has revolutionised the design and performance of small liquid fuel heaters, resulting in fuel economy thought impossible 20 years ago. TOYOTOMI Engineers have developed and applied computer technology to diesel heaters in a manner not too dissimilar to technology that has revolutionised the economy of small diesel fueled motor cars.

Originally designed for kerosene, but now available in NZ for standard automotive diesel fuel. LASERTM heaters are ultra quiet and include automatic controls with automatic ignition, 2 x programmable time clock thermostats and over 92% efficient fuel economy from a 100% fully sealed Stainless steel combustion and a balanced flue system that is sheer simplicity to install.

History of Diesel Heaters

Since the diesel engine was invented by Rudolf Diesel the 1870's, diesel oil has been a major energy source for Transport, Industry and Heating. Diesel oil contains approx 18% more energy per unit of measure than petrol. Worldwide, diesel oil powers the largest ships, trucks, earthmovers, industrial boilers etc. In NZ and Australia substantial electricity generation is diesel fired. In the northern hemisphere (especially USA and Canada), diesel energy heats millions of public buildings and homes, and it's no secret that the latest diesel engine cars are highly sought after, because they offer incredible fuel efficiency and reliability and are environmentally friendly.

In New Zealand, diesel is already used to generate substantial amounts of energy, and the Christchurch Press 9-3-06, reported that state owned Meridian Energy suggested moving the 156 megawatt Whirinaki diesel fired generator plant (burning 1million litres of diesel per day), to Christchurch to counter the threat of power blackouts.

Today's most sort after and fuel efficient cars are powered by small diesel engines that deliver astonishing fuel economy, made possible by the application of proven and reliable computer technology to control fuel injection and other crucial elements within the engine and transmission.
